Swim Teacher Training and First Aid Courses
As part of our ongoing training for our staff we run teacher training courses, CPD courses and lifeguard courses. Accredited by the various governing bodies all of our courses are run by our fully qualified, insured and CRB checked tutors.
Wessex Swim School has been training swimming teachers since 2005 and over 850 teachers have successfully completed their qualifications through us.

STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming (STC Beginner Course)
4 day course that enables you to teach beginner children. An introduction to swimming teaching, and basic essentials of teaching assessed by the STA - Swimming Teachers Association

STA Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Swimming (STC Full Teachers Course)
5 day course that enables you to teach all ages and abilities, indepth assessments of teaching and teaching practices. Assessed by the STA - Swimming Teachers Association

Thursday 22nd May 1900 – 2200 Front Crawl Godolphin School, Salisbury
£25 + £6 for certificate 1/2 a point
Friday 28th June 1900 – 2200 Back Stroke Kings’ School, Winchester
£25 + £6 for certificate 1/2 a point
Thursday 22nd August 1900 – 2200 Butterfly Godolphin School, Salisbury
£25 + £6 for certificate 1/2 a point

Become a lifeguard:
NPLQ - National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, 4 day course that covers resuscitation, first aid, spinal injuries. Enables you to work at any pool in the country. Assessed by RLSS - Royal Life Saving Society.
