The Part-Time Staffing Manager plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our busy swim school and events company. They are responsible for various aspects of staffing, including recruitment, safeguarding, staff reviews, holiday planning, staff contracts, staff training, and volunteer management.

Core Responsibilities

*Key Responsibilities:*

1. *Recruitment:* - Actively recruit qualified and passionate individuals to join our team of swim instructors and administrative staff. - Develop and maintain relationships with local schools, universities, and community organizations to attract potential candidates.

2. *Safeguarding:* - Ensure all staff members are adequately trained and compliant with safeguarding policies and procedures. - Act as a point of contact for any safeguarding concerns or incidents, ensuring prompt and appropriate action is taken.

3. *Staff Reviews:* - Conduct regular performance reviews for all staff members, providing constructive feedback and setting development goals. - Maintain accurate records of performance reviews and monitor staff progress over time.

4. *Holiday Planning:*
  - Coordinate staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak and holiday periods.
  - Manage holiday requests and allocations, balancing the needs of the business with staff preferences.

5. *Staff Contracts:*
  - Oversee the creation and administration of staff contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
  - Update and maintain personnel records, including contract renewals and amendments.

6. *Staff Training:*
  - Develop and implement training programs for new and existing staff members, covering both technical skills and customer service.
  - Identify opportunities for professional development and support staff in achieving their career goals.

7. *Volunteer Management:*
  - Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to assist with various aspects of the events operations.
  - Provide ongoing support and guidance to volunteers, recognizing their contributions to the organization.

Teacher Requirements

*Qualifications and Skills:*

- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the leisure or education sector.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of relevant employment laws and safeguarding regulations.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.

*Schedule:* Part-time, flexible hours based on the needs of the business. Approx 0930 - 1430 each weekday.
