Wessex Swim School work on Stages from the ASA Learn to Swim Frame Work

Once our swimmer has completed a stage they will be awarded a badge. We also award badges for distances from 5m up to 1000m. Badges are free (up to 2 per term, but additional maybe purchased)

We have a full time office team, who are also qualified Instructors, on hand to help with any queries regarding your swimmers lessons.

Small Class Sizes

With our lower stages we have a maximum of 3 swimmers per class; this only increases to 5 when swimmers complete Stage 5 and the lessons increase to 45 minutes. This is a really effective teaching technique and we have seen great progress with the smaller ratios.

Qualified Instructors

All our enthusiastic Instructors are STA or ASA qualified and hold a STA Award in Pool Safety, or equivalent, ensuring we offer high quality lessons with effective teaching techniques.

Home Portal & Ipods

Our Instructors use portable devices to mark their classes each week, giving you the opportunity to register onto our Home Portal and track your swimmers progress from home. This is a great tool if you are not able to make every session and want to see what your swimmers are working on.

Supervisors

We have a Supervisor on poolside to assist with any queries; they are all qualified instructors with many years of experience. They oversee each session; ensuring swimmers are in the correct classes for their ability. They can also pass on feedback from the Instructors so you know what your swimmers may need to work on.
